Finding lasting recovery from addiction takes time, effort, and the right environment. At Raleigh Recovery House, we provide that environment—a structured, supportive, and empowering men’s sober living home in Raleigh, North Carolina, designed to help men rebuild their lives one day at a time.
Located just ten minutes from downtown Raleigh, our home offers a peaceful retreat that’s close to the heart of the city but far enough away to focus on what really matters: recovery, responsibility, and growth. We’re not a treatment center or rehab—we’re the next step in the recovery journey, a bridge between early sobriety and long-term independence.
Raleigh Recovery House is a men’s-only sober living home, intentionally designed to create a sense of brotherhood and accountability. We understand that men face unique challenges in recovery—balancing family expectations, career goals, and social pressures—so we’ve built a space where men can be honest, supported, and encouraged by peers walking the same path. Our smaller size allows us to maintain a strong sense of unity and personal accountability.
At Raleigh Recovery House, our foundation is built on the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. We believe in the power of fellowship, structure, and consistent practice. Residents are encouraged—and expected—to attend local AA meetings regularly. Fortunately, our location puts us within easy reach of dozens of AA and NA meetings in the Raleigh area, providing many opportunities for connection and growth.
We focus on balance—combining accountability with encouragement, and structure with laughter. Recovery doesn’t mean life stops; it means life finally begins again. Our founder and leadership team come from lived experience. Everything we ask our residents to do, we’ve done ourselves. We know what it feels like to be new in sobriety—uncertain, hopeful, and ready for change. That’s why every rule, meeting, and expectation at Raleigh Recovery House is designed not to punish, but to empower.
Our sober living home sits on a tucked-away acre at 5900 Holly Drive, providing a peaceful, residential setting just minutes from downtown Raleigh. The house offers both comfort and convenience—a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by nature, with quick access to jobs, education, meetings, and community events.
Residents enjoy spacious common areas, clean and comfortable bedrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen for preparing meals together. The outdoor space provides room for quiet reflection, fellowship, and recreation.
We intentionally chose a location that strikes the perfect balance:
Our goal is to make Raleigh Recovery House feel like home—because for many men, it’s the place where a new life begins.
There are many sober living homes in North Carolina, but Raleigh Recovery House stands out for our authentic approach and lived experience. We don’t just provide a roof and a bed—we provide mentorship, accountability, and a genuine community. Here’s what sets us apart:
Our focus on men’s recovery allows residents to connect through shared experiences and common challenges. We foster honesty, vulnerability, and brotherhood—key ingredients for healing and growth.
Our program emphasizes working the 12 Steps, attending meetings, and connecting with sponsors. These practices are at the heart of sustainable recovery and spiritual growth.
Residents are expected to maintain personal responsibility—whether it’s attending meetings, performing household chores, finding work, or staying connected to their recovery community. Structure is what allows freedom to flourish.
We believe recovery happens in community. By living together, residents learn to support one another, resolve conflicts, and form lasting friendships that often continue long after their time at Raleigh Recovery House.
Our leadership team isn’t just managing the house—they’ve lived it. Every policy, every guideline, and every bit of advice comes from firsthand experience in recovery. As our founder says, “Everything I ask the guys to do, I’ve done too.”
Daily life in our sober living home blends routine with flexibility. Residents are expected to maintain employment or be actively searching for work, attend recovery meetings, and contribute to the household.
A typical week might include:
We’re serious about recovery—but we’re also serious about enjoying life. As we like to say, “Trust this process, you don’t know what’s on the other side.” Whether it’s a weekend hike, a night at a local sporting event, or a simple dinner together, we make space for joy, laughter, and real friendship.
Transitioning from treatment back into the real world can be one of the most vulnerable times in recovery. That’s where sober living comes in. Raleigh Recovery House provides a bridge between early sobriety and full independence—a place where men can solidify their routines, build confidence, and strengthen their recovery network.
At Raleigh Recovery House, we help men move beyond just staying sober—we help them learn how to live sober.
Here’s what makes sober living a powerful part of the recovery process:
